Mark Willier
Founder & CEO
Mark Willier is the owner and founder of First Choice Exteriors. Mark got his start in the roofing industry when he was just 14 years old, working alongside his cousins during the summers and learning the trade firsthand.
By the time he was 20 years old, Mark was married with a baby on the way. As a homeowner himself, he understood how important it was to have contractors you could trust and how much responsibility comes with protecting your home.
With years of hands-on experience already behind him, Mark decided to start First Choice Exteriors. More than 26 years later, that same mindset still shapes the company today. Mark has always believed homeowners deserve someone who will approach their home with care, explain things honestly, and focus on solving problems the right way.
Outside of First Choice Exteriors, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and being out on the lake whenever he can. He also enjoys recreational beach volleyball and is an avid scuba diver. In any spare time he finds, he is usually working on a project around the house. Ask his wife and she will tell you Mark is always building or fixing something, or even helping a neighbor diagnose a leak. Friends, family, and neighbors know that when something goes wrong in their home, Mark is the first person they call. His knowledge of construction and natural ability to problem solve have always extended far beyond roofing.

Preston Willier
Operations Manager
Preston Willier grew up in Carver, Minnesota and graduated from Chanhassen High School, where he played both hockey and baseball. He later attended the University of Wisconsin Madison, where he earned a degree in Genetics. Go Badgers!
Before joining First Choice Exteriors full time, Preston spent two years working as an EMT. He originally planned to pursue a career in medicine and found a lot of fulfillment in helping people through high stress and emotional situations. Whether responding to emergencies or helping people on difficult days, Preston valued being someone others could rely on and trust.
As he and his fiancée began planning their future together ahead of their wedding in 2026, Preston started looking more seriously at the opportunity to build a career at First Choice Exteriors. Having grown up around the business and spent summers during high school installing gutters and riding along to job sites, the transition felt natural.
Today, Preston brings that same level of care and professionalism into his work with homeowners every day. People appreciate how approachable he is, the confidence he brings to every project, and his ability to clearly explain what is going on and help homeowners feel comfortable throughout the process. Preston combines strong communication skills with a genuine understanding of roofing and construction, making him someone homeowners quickly trust.
Outside of First Choice Exteriors, Preston enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing on a recreational volleyball team at Fletcher’s. He also still plays hockey in a local beer league with many of the same friends he grew up playing with. Preston is a huge Minnesota sports fan and loves cheering on the Wild, Vikings, and Timberwolves. He is excited to continue learning from his dad’s decades of experience and building his future at First Choice Exteriors.
